John and his wife, Katherine, live in Lewisville with their daughter Laura and dog Roscoe. John enjoys spending his free time with family and friends. His hobbies include computers, grilling, and watching sports. John holds a B.S. in Communications from Appalachian State and an MBA from Winston Salem State. John is a member of Augsburg Lutheran Church's Congregational Council, a New Winston Museum board member, President of the W-S State Quarterback Club, a member of the Rotary Club of Winston Salem, a former two-term town council member for Lewisville, NC, and has been named a "40 Leaders under 40" in 2000 by the Triad Business Journal.
